Md. Mahmudul Hoque is currently working as an adjunct faculty at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and, is a freelance journalist working for AESTHETICS, a monthly magazine; EKMATTRA, a non-profit organization and Centre for Practical Multimedia Studies (CPMS), a research oriented organization at the University of Dhaka. He teaches and writes about Sports Journalism, Human Rights, Photography, Film Studies and International Relations.
He passed Honours and Masters degree in International Relations from the University of Dhaka and had a full scholarship under Norwegian Masters (NOMA), Regional Masters Programme (RMP) in Journalism, Media and Communication with collaboration of University of Dhaka, College of Journalism and Mass Communication, Kathmandu, Lahore University, South Asian Academy for Media and Photography (PATHSHALA) and Oslo University College, Norway.
He is also working as the Director of Media and Mass Communication Department of EKMATTRA.
He is also a freelance professional photographer; his professional photographic genres are wedding, model and documentary.
He is an independent filmmaker. He has made five documentary films and Has worked in a few feature films as assistant director and as director of photography.

Children of EKMATTRA
EKMATTRA is a non profitable social welfare oriented non-government organization. It is working for the welfare of underprivileged destitute children of Dhaka city. I have been associated with this organization since 2005. I acted as the coordinator of the dept. of media and mass communication in EKMATTRA for three years. Then in 2008 I got the opportunity to become member of the directorial board. Right now I am enjoying working for destitute children through EKMATTRA.

Photography
Photography is my passion. I see photography as the expression of academic thought; as the documentation of time and place; as the art of telling a story and above all a tool of communication. I have had higher studies on photography in South Asian Academy of Media and Photography (PATHSHALA). I have been working as freelance photographer for magazine, websites and newspaper. I do wedding photography, model photography, fashion photography, documentary photography and nature photography.
I have written a few articles on reading image and visual communication.
